Any leftover trees will be made available for sale onsite at 10:30 a.m. to both county and non-county residents. Cash or check will be accepted for on-site sales.
Species made available through this year’s sale include Black Hills Spruce, Blue Spruce, Bur Oak, Frontier Elm, Norway Spruce, October Glory Maple, Redbud, and Redmond Linden.
In addition to being beautiful, properly placed trees provide food and habitat for wildlife and help reduce energy costs by shading your home and creating a protective wind break.
New this year, Pottawattamie County residents looking to accomplish a memorial tree planting are invited to apply for the Leave Your Mark Tree Scholarship Program sponsored by the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation. Scholarship applications will be open through September 18th and are available online.
