The Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation (PCF) is led by a volunteer-based board of directors.  The long-range goals of PCF are to acquire land for habitat preservation and public use, support environmental education activities in Pottawattamie County, and utilize partnerships to attain its goals.

Enjoy the Benefits of Membership

Daily entrance passes to Pottawattamie County parks are $5.00 per vehicle at Hitchcock Nature Center  and $3.00 per vehicle at Arrowhead Park, Botna Bend Park, and Narrows River Park. However, for guests that visit our parks multiple times a year, a membership may be a better option. Memberships are an economical way to enjoy county parks year-round while still supporting the mission of Pottawattamie County Conservation and the PCF.

  • Cover transportation costs and offer scholarships for over 1,600 area students for school nature field trips 
  • Provide equipment and training for the study of birds of prey at Hitchcock Nature Center

  • Secure long-term funding for environmental education, recreation, and land stewardship for generations to come
