The Pottawattamie County Conservation Board (Pottawattamie Conservation) is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide development planning services towards the creation of a master plan (the Plan) for the Mt. Crescent Ski Area (MCSA). The plan should create a roadmap that will guide the sustainable development and management of MCSA and its recreational amenities on a standalone basis and, where feasible, connect them to existing or planned recreational elements of Hitchcock Nature Center (HNC) over the next 10-15 years.
The Plan will be the primary planning document for Pottawattamie Conservation and the basis for the four-season development at MCSA.
If feasible, facility and recreational amenity design and engineering services will be pursued under separate contract(s).
Electronic copies of proposals (preferred) should be submitted to mark.shoemaker@pottcounty-ia.gov in either a pdf or word document format. Physical/hard copies of proposals or electronic copies via USB data sticks must be submitted to the Pottawattamie Conservation Main Office located in the Pottawattamie County Courthouse at 227 South 6th Street, Suite 204, Council Bluffs, IA 51501 during regular hours of operation (8:00a.m. – 4:40 p.m.). All proposals must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. May 19, 2023.
