We need you to help us count birds for the longest-running community science project!
The Audubon Christmas Bird Count, first held in 1900, is a nationwide, volunteer wildlife census that records all birds seen within designated count circles each winter. Its data helps track long-term trends in bird populations and guides conservation efforts.
Join us on Saturday, December 20th, at Hitchcock Nature Center for a day of birding in and around the park. If you can only participate for the morning, that's fine, too! Once you register, our quadrant captain will be in touch with more information. All expert levels are welcome. Binoculars and bird guides will be available. All ages are welcome to participate; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of inclement weather, we will host this event on December 21st.
