Beginning Birding is designed to help novice birders develop new skills including identifying songbirds utilizing field marks, physical characteristics, and using binoculars. This program includes a classroom and field session and will provide the knowledge and skills for amateur and beginning birders to accurately identify common and notable species found throughout the Midwest.
This program can accommodate people of all experience levels but is intended for beginning birders with limited or no field experience.
Cost is $10.00 per person & includes program materials & admission to the park, we ask that participants be age 12 or older please. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited. For questions not answered online please call 712-545-3283.

This event is not pet friendly, service animals are always welcome.
Guests may cancel their reservation for a full refund up to 1 week (7 days) prior to the program date by calling 712-545-3283 and speaking with staff directly. Cancellations received less than 1 week (7 days) in advance of the event will not be refunded. Fees for programs cancelled by PCC due to weather or other circumstances will be refunded.
