The Council Bluffs Public Library and Pottawattamie Conservation are teaming up to offer classes focused on giving you the confidence and background knowledge you need to grow a beautiful native garden. Native plants grow naturally in the region in which they evolved. They are the ecological basis upon which life depends, including pollinators, birds, and people.
In this class, held at the Council Bluffs Public Library, you will learn about the unique processes native seeds need to complete before planting, where to find that information, and techniques used for successful germination. During this round table discussion, learn the tips and techinques used by various native gardeners and by the Bumbling Bee Native Wildflowers Nursery.
Gardening with Native Plants is a free, four-part class. Registration is required and a form must be completed for each class you plan to attend. Please click HERE to register for the seed starting class or visit www.councilbuffslibrary.org to register for each class.
