Massive herds of bison and elk once roamed the Great Plains. These large herbivores played a vital role in sustaining the prairie habitat. During this special session, we’ll examine how bison and elk helped shape the landscape, and we’ll look at the complex relationship between humans and these large prairie dwellers. We’ll even get an up-close look at the bison and elk that live at Botna Bend Park!
Cost for this event is $5.00 per person for children ages 3 and over and covers your park entry fee. Adults and children under 3 accompanying program participants do not need a reservation.
