Hands on!

Join naturalist and folk herbalist Dustin Clayton on a walk through the late summer forest and prairie.  Throughout the hike we'll discuss a variety of commonly encountered herbs and trees. We'll chat about the traditional medicinal applications of these plants and how our ancestors would have engaged with them throughout the course of the year.  The focus will be on working with these plants in a sustainable, safe, and conservation oriented manner.

Following the hike, we'll return to the lodge where there will be a demonstration of tincturing plants for medicinal use.
