Facilitator: Nic Salick has worked in the conservation field for over a decade, much of which has focused on better understanding birds and their habitats. His work in field ornithology has spanned from the grasslands of the Midwest and Great Plains to the deserts of the Southwest and the wetlands of the central flyway. Previously he worked as a private lands wildlife biologist in the Loess Hills and Missouri River region where he supported landowners and farmers to incorporate wildlife and improve their habitat offerings. Currently, Nic is a Development Officer for The Nature Conservancy in Nebraska. Even when not at work he has nature on the brain. He enjoys hiking the Loess Hills, birding, hunting behind his trusty dog Greta, and enjoying a book in his hammock.
