Perfect for beginning gardeners and anyone who is interested in supporting native plantings in their outdoor spaces, Gardening for Diversity will give you the confidence and background knowledge you need to grow a beautiful native garden that supports local wildlife and provides other great benefits for you and your community!

Help us enhance an area at HNC with a native pollinator garden! We will turn a lawn grass ditch into a beautiful and beneficial native plant community. During this last workshop, we will discuss how to space and layout plants, and give you plenty of chances to learn how to plant plugs and get a close-up look at each species.

This is the last session in the Gardening for Diversity workshop series.

Session topics included:

  • Part 1: Native Garden Basics - February 9th, 6:30 p.m.
  • Part 2: Planning & Mapping Your Garden - March 9th, 6:30 p.m.
  • Part 3: Selecting Native Species - April 13th, 6:30 p.m.
  • Part 4: Garden Prep & Groundwork - May 11th, 5:00 p.m.
