Join us at Hitchcock Nature Center for a presentation and trail walk with local birder Nic Salick that focuses on the nocturnal birds known as nightjars.
We'll learn to identify Common Nighthawks and Eastern Whip-poor-wills, discuss their unique habits, and with some luck, be serenaded by their song after sunset. While we will try not to use flashlights or headlamps during the program, feel free to have one along to help you get back to the lodge when we conclude.
Please meet at the Goldfinch Room in the Loess Hills Lodge where you'll listen to a presentation then hit the trails!
Guests may cancel their reservation for a full refund up to 1 week (7 days) prior to the program date by calling 712-545-3283 and speaking with staff directly. Cancellations received less than 1 week (7 days) in advance of the event will not be refunded. Fees for programs cancelled by PCC due to weather or other circumstances will be refunded.
