Wild Wanderers Summer Camp | Botna Bend

*Registration for this camp opens February 1st*

Students entering 5th & 6th Grade will embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the wild, learning about the untamed wonders of the great outdoors while honing their skills in archery, primitive fire building, orienteering, whittling, and more during Wild Wanderers at Botna Bend Park, July 23rd - July 25th. 

Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.

• What: Wild Wanderers camp is designed for unaccompanied campers entering 5th & 6th grade (students ages 10 to 11).
• Where: The camp will be held at Botna Bend Park in Hancock, IA
• When: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Tuesday, July 23rd through Thursday, July 25th.
• Pricing: The cost for this three-day camp is $75.00 per camper and includes park admission, snacks, and camp materials.
• Camps may be attended by students in the listed grades only. No additional students or parents, please. 
• Campers will need to provide a sack lunch for each day of camp. We also request campers bring a refillable water bottle, sunblock, and insect repellent. 

Friday the 26th will be a backup rain date.

This camp is a collaboration between Pottawattamie Conservation and the East & West Pottawattamie Soil & Water Conservation District. Early member registration is not available.

Join us in the great outdoors during Pottawattamie Conservation's 2024 Summer Nature Camps! Camps are offered for youth Pre-K through 9th Grade and are designed to get kids outside exploring, building new skills, and having fun all while cultivating a healthy connection to the natural world.

Please note that processing fees will not be refunded. 

• 14 Days (or More) Notice - 50% Refund
• 13 to 8 Days Notice - 25% Refund
• 7 Days or Less Notice - 0% Refund

*Camps with less than 10 registered campers may be canceled at the discretion of Pottawattamie Conservation. Camps canceled by Pottawattamie Conservation will be refunded 100%, including the processing fee.
